Google Mail weirdness

For a few weeks now I havent seen any change in my Gmail account despite all these new features being announced, imap support etc etc.

However, I just changed the display language from English (UK) to English (US) and they've all appeared. Any ideas what's going on?

I think they are experimenting on us americans, and then will distribute the features to everyone else. Or mabye they are being meen and playing with everyone else. ;)

They're always releasing everything in us-english first and then in other languages (although what's the difference between the us and uk english gmail I can't imagine).

My accounts all have imap support already and have had for ages. It simply doesn't show up as an option anymore though. As long as pop3 access is enabled you'll have imap access as well.
