I almost never watch VH1... but I did catch a little of their "all time worst songs" list and Sound of Silence made their list... after that I couldn't take them seriously.

The Sound of Silence - such a brilliant song.

You should have put 'Love' by Lennon instead of 'Imagine'. Imagine is a good song, but I think 'Love' is my favourite Lennon post-Beatles song.
