regarding my ubuntu 7.10

when i installed ubuntu 7.10, after rebooting my machine works perfectly and connected to my linksys router for internet access, why is it that it worked even i didn't install my drivers for mother board,video card,LAN,and modem,thanks

thats one of the many wonders of the linux kernel :)

it will auto-detect your hardware if it is supported and load the drivers automatically. :KS

on the other hand if the hardware is not supported, some users will blame the OS, sigh.. ;)
