"Tell Dell to set a goal of having at least one fully open system for home users by the end of 2010! This would be Dell's greatest endeavor yet! The Dell FREEDOM Box | From the software, all the way down to the hardware, a completely open system"

Thoughts? How do you imagine Dell *could* turn something like this into a huge success? A win for Dell and the Open Source community?

Anyone who is a Digg user or IdeaStorm user can promote it. It might seem a little far fetched but i think it's worth supporting if we can bring it to Dell's attention. It's only a few diggs from hitting the top 10 and it's already hit the front page of IdeaStorm and it was just created a couple days ago!

Er but you still wouldn't be able to get all the deals you could like with all the windows comps (no interest specials, ect).

Why not work on supporting the last thing we whined at Dell about? Getting those comps the same "rights" that the comps with the same hardware get? Splitting the votes will ensure that neither gets done.
