Great news, everybody!

I'm a huge fan of rTorrent, but the only feature that was missing was DHT support. As of November 28th, though, it's been added!

Installation instructions are on the rTorrent site. http://libtorrent.rakshasa.no/wiki/Install

I believe it's only in the svn version at this point.

Great news. This was the major obstacle that kept me away from completely switching to rtorrent. Now I can happily uninstall azureus.

The sad thing is, I might not be using rtorrent for a long time as it seems that bitorrent is going down.

Glad to see the default mode is off.

bt will be around for a long time imo.

I guessing the closing up of some of the protocol or the whole comcast p2p traffic blocking thing.

Yes. Plus I heard sometime ago that one of the prominent p2p sites (don't remember which but maybe it was thepiratebay) are expecting the demise of bittorrent within a year.
