Best linux distros, what do you think?

I'm looking for a new distro to try, and a came across this list of the best distros, what do you think?

Kind of small and limited as there are others out there that are pretty good:
Linux Mint
PClinuxOS
Mandriva 2008
Mepis Linux

of all those that I tried.........i love Slacky the most.....

1. Slackware
2. Ubuntu
3. Zenwalk

but i would say try out zenwalk first before jumping onto slacky..........

I've tried my hand at slackware and found it to be a little unuser friendly

+1 for Arch.

Really, though, it's hard to rate which distros are "best" since many of them serve specific needs. You could probably say which is "best for new users who have no intention to learn", "best for new users who like to learn", "best for whatever" and so on
