Recently there has been a request by the Ubuntu IRC Council for the US teams to move to a new channel naming structure. That structure is #ubuntu-us-st with the 'st' being the state abbreviation.

So following that change, our new channel is #ubuntu-us-md on irc.freenode.net. For those who have a default handler in your browser for IRC, you should be able to follow this link (irc://irc.freenode.net/#ubuntu-us-md).

If you're new to IRC, check out the Ubuntu Wiki tutorial (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/InternetRelayChat).

(Corrected Link. Thanks loopiv)
