Know of any good places?
I'm on tigerdirect right. Found two amazing computer. Was just wondering if anyone else knew any other good sites.

Might be a stupid question but is AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ 2.2GHz dual core processor 64 bit?
I'm pretty new to computer hardware and I've heard some bad things about 64bit so I was just wondering.

64 bit processor are really good. It is the software that often has flaws. You can use 32 bit software on a 64 bit processor.

Nothing that big.
Not really graphic intensive. Though I do enjoy gaming every now and then.
But not some crazy graphic game.
Quake 3 graphics.

I would pick the first one, as it is brand new, not refurbished :)

They are both good, but the desktop is a really nice computer. It has good everything, except for the fact I like Intel processors...

They both should work well with Linux.

I's also go with the first one..My reason is the rebate on the second one. A number of people have had trouble getting their rebates honored by TD...There are even some complaint sites on this problem.

I bought the laptop you linked to. It is refurbished, but in some cases, refurbished computers are just computers that were returned for no particular reason. Besides, TigerDirect has a defective policy, allowing you to return something if it is defective.

I would personally not buy a refurbished item, but this laptop was for someone else, and it was too good to pass up. Also, it gives me the opportunity to test it out, and see whether refurbished computers are just as good as used cars can be (I own a used car, and there's nothing wrong with it).

There is no rebate on this laptop. I bought it for $399, but shipping made it $420. It should arrive by next Friday.
