Hey everybody, I am buying a new XPS 420 desktop from dell, with Vista (Only for gaming!) and Ubuntu. I am trying to decide whether or not to buy Dell's top of the line 256mb nVidia GeForce 8600 GTS card now, or upgrade later to another one of my choice. Is this a good card for Ubuntu, and more importantly, for gaming? The most graphic intensive game that I will be playing is probably Flight Sim X, and I want it to run good. Some reviews I have read are negative, others positive.

So, is this a good card for what I want? I would rather just buy it from dell than installing one myself...seems to be more of a hassle.

Thanks all. :)

I guess if you are playing a DirectX 10 game, which I think Flight Sim X is, then it'll do ya untill you can get a better card. I think the DirectX 10 thing is still pretty debatable so I'm going to stick with my two XFX 7950's in SLI until the debate is over.
