Hi everyone, I love techno and would like to see your favorite song(s). I have 3 or four and I suggest you use mediafire to upload your songs.:KS

My all time favorite in there would have to be the starcraft atomic dance explosion.:)

don't know if i have a favorite. mrs. fuscia has accused me of using ambient streams as a way to hypnotise myself into a deep stupor.

I'm not the biggest fan of vanilla techno, but I do enjoy certain types of it. For example house, electro house, trance, drum and base (occasionally), and various other dance related music.

Hmm, there's a lot of good stuff out there. DJ Mangoo is simply a classic. Listen to as many of his songs as possible; Sad Memory and Freedom are two of my favorites of his.

DJ Tiesto, of course. Pretty much anything made by him is going to be good so give it a listen.

Daft Punk's Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger is another classic worth checking out.

And if you're feeling a little geeky check out some of Basshunter's tunes, especially Dota. :D

I can only remember the cheesy...

The immortals - Mortal Kombat

Then theres the 'Technotronic' stuff from the late 80's to early 90's.

some of 'the Shamen' stuff was good for its time.

In fact I'm going to have to dig up some of the old cassette tapes just for nostalgia sakes.:guitar:

Got most of the above to see if I like them.

My rating for all of them is amazing. I used to listen to teckno on the radio but did not know the artist names.

Hopefully someone can start a Ubuntu teckno thread with lists of artists and 5 star song ratings on the first thread.

Thanks helped much.

Darude - Sandstorm

That's not techno.

Seriously, do you even know what techno is?

Also, dj tiesto is a trance dj, not techno.

This is (hard) techno:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=NvyZcIWG5Kg

Darude is dance/trance-ish.

I'm more a hardcore kind of guy, with my favorite song (at the moment) being:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=b6Eqd-EQ8E4&feature=related

That song is ffing great.

And of course, there is angerfist:

I'm not really into techno, but if I had to list one, I would say One Good Reason by Celldweller.

I'm mostly into death metal. I love stuff like Cannibal Corpse, Nile, and Blotted Science.

Ida ingberg - Disco volante
I know, it sounds more like electro, but the definitions shift through the years anyway. What was once considered techno, slowly starts to resemble dance/house and intermediate definitions appear. Who can keep up?

DJ Mangoo - Eurodancer

Seriously, this song is so amazing it has converted a bunch of my friends to techno.
I really like it, a lot.

I kind of though that this thread would be about techno, but it seems to be about eurotrance instead :D People seem to have common, but very annoying habit of calling all electronic dance music "techno".. I mean when I say that I like techno and people start to think that I'd listen to some gabber or eurodance. :/

I'm more into psytekk, hard to say which would be my favourite track. I suppose today "Hitman" by Ticon would be pretty close. Of course I listen to some techno & hard techno as well (and pretty much every other type of music, excluding most pop & and all eurotrance. :D)

Techno has a lot of genres: hard techno, schranz, tribal, ... but eurodance, trance and gabber are not techno.

Some techno dj's: rush, pet duo, kvitta, dave clark, ...

Hmmmmmm some interesting suggestion's for techno songs, "Sandstorm" come on that's not techno!!!!!!!!
Anyway way while Im here, this is TECHNO

Friday 7th November 2008 will see Panramindustrial take over Bar Fresa for six hours of seriously hard techno & schranz. Heading the extremes is head honcho of Giveway Records Scott Kemix, with a 100% no bull ****, just pure “LIVE” set.
With out a doubt the king of UK Schranz, Scott’s had outing’s on Combat Skill, Cardiac Arrest & Glitch to name a few, gig’s all over Europe including the legendary K2 Budapest plus an up coming tour of South America.
Along side is Dj Pheeva, with out a doubt one of the most exciting & gifted female Dj’s on the hard techno scene & co-owner of Giveway Records.
Support on the night is from the king of Sheffield schranz & resident of one of the UK’s best underground party’s Tinnitus. Along side and with a box of OTT hard techno & electronics’ is Destruction of the Flesh provider The Machinist.
All’s we are going to say is don’t expect any scouse house!!!
