Here's my Ubuntu story;
Dell Optiplex 260GX 2.4Ghz P4 - £20
Acer 19" widescreen monitor - £90
Keyboard & mouse - £15
1Gb RAM & GeForce 6200a upgrade - £60
Total cost - £185
The knowledge that my wife will have a stable, virus free method of accessing the Net & doing anything she needs to?

The only problems that I encountered were getting the graphics card to work when installing it. I got 'Loading boot script...' and then a lot of hanging. But after having a search around on the forum boards and trying a few suggested solutions, I finally got there! (NB - use the search facility Luke... it actually works... :-D )
