So my Dad got his new Linux Computer and was asking if there was a Texas Hold Em game.
I told him I don't know but I would do some research...
Is there a Native Texas Hold Em game in Linux or does one work in Wine?

Try openyahtzee (http://openyahtzee.sourceforge.net/screenshots.php). Need to compile it yourself (version 1.8). Theres only a .deb of an older version (1.6).

I'm pretty sure... I got rid of gnome-games a bit ago, but I'm sure I played one on a default install.
Of course this means you need all the gnome-games installed :(

Confirmed, Tali is awesome! ;)
I don't know if it is default on GNOME, since I have XFCE, KDE, GNOME and e17 installed but I do have Tali by default.

for Texas Holdem, I installed the PokerStars.net program and it works fine (so far....I still can't win ;)). It's not native, and it's only online, but it works fine.

Try PokerTH it is Open Source and simply awesome...you can either play the computer or play online with other players.
