2 Linux Administrator (level 2)– full time position, available immediately (Philippines Only)

Job Requirements and Description:
The Linux Administrator is part of a team that is responsible to deliver & maintain 24×7x365 up time of all e-commerce, development servers and related services. Daily responsibilities involve technical support, monitoring and implementing technology solutions that ensure system reliability and performance. Position requires working closely with the IT Operations and Engineering teams

The successful candidate must have;
* Passion for *Linux* and Open Source technologies!
* 3+ years of current/intensive “Linux” Systems administration (any redhat variant)
* Php, Perl and Shell scripting for automation.
* Knowledge of e-commerce services(DNS, Web, SSL, Mysql and etc)
* Secure operating system implementation, performance tuning and rollout.
* Networking(Tcp/ip)
* Backup solutions and system monitoring
* Desire to work in a fun, fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Qualifications:
• 3+ years of current *Linux* Systems administration (RedHat).
• Experience in production environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self management abilities
• Strategic , cross-functional , thinker

Plus factor:
* Previously work with e-commerce solution
* Networking (Lan, Wan, router programming)
* Windows administration

Responsibilities:
* Manage, maintain , and grow production platform of *Linux* servers including host security.
* Application/system performance analysis and tuning.
* Domain/Ssl management
* Mini-sites management
* Provide support to developers and marketing, in relation to sites/e-commerce development
* Perform on-call duties and after hours work.

Education & Work Experience:
• BS in engineering , computer science, or related experience
• Minimum 3 years of current *Linux* Systems administration

Salary: PHP 35,000.00

Gusto ko rin matutunan mga yan... pinagaaralan ko nga PHP, MySql saka Apache sa Ubuntu Gutsy ko yan libangan ko ngayon... Sa Opis Windows gamit pag uwi ko sa bahay boot ako sa Ubuntu para explore ubuntu. :rolleyes:

meron na kami 3 applicants yesterday, nag practical exam sila, sana pumasa, alam ko yung isa ubunutero din :)

It's true, it is really hard to find Linux Sysad here in the Philippines, since this thread was created, I got a bunch of applicants but only raxso was hired :)
