Animated Smiley's in Signatures eXXXtreme!?

Thoughts on the new wave of animated Smiley's in signatures? Any one else find them eXXXtreme!?

Just curious as the forum rules have been relaxed to now include them.


What are your thoughts. I am on the fence about them except when I feel like I may go into seizures from them.

I find animated sigs can be irritating, especially since I view 30 posts per page on a 512kbps connection

I have seen such sigs and they are annoying and distracting. I have PM'ed one of these offendors in the past, and that poster realized what the sig was doing and changed it.

For those of you reading this, do not use :lolflag: in you sig!

i don't really mind them though(because if i don't wanna see one again i just block it with ad block)

When I want to concentrate on a longish or difficult text, I find anything moving on the screen rather distracting.

In some cases, I have to adjust the window size, scroll position or other windows so that the moving object is hidden or offsceen in order to become able to concentrate on the text. I have also left some stuff unread when the publisher went to sufficiently great lengths to render his page unreadable.

Press escape and they stop moving, that's what I do when they get irritating.
