I have one of these phones, is rather awkward to use. Someone helped me set it up as a bluetooth modem for Hardy Heron. Now I'm upgrading to Jaunty. When I try to connect with bluetooth dialup I'm asked for a confirmation code which makes the connection fail. I did not have this problem in Hardy. Has anyone here tried this? If so please help.:)
Thanks, intruderukr

I bet it has more functionality than the Iphone does+1 and probably made in the same factory.

Still, I am holding out for the HTC Hero. :P

I wouldn't buy one because they don't make unlocked CDMA phones.

What about the Hiphone? :-)

Seriously, if I was to buy a phone from China, I'd get one of those wristwatch phones. Lacking in features, but who can deny the **** Tracy factor?

Good one!!! :)

Don't they pose some kind of security threat (http://www.business-standard.com/india/news/govt-may-ban-importchinese-phones-without-imei-tag/16/33/64377/on)? Apparently all of them come with same IMEI number.

So why not get a gsm phone?

Pretty crap they're not 3g though.

I don't see why anyone would want one of these phones... It's bad enough having an Iphone, but having a fake Iphone is even worse. I think it's important for people to buy other phones and make sure Apple isn't able to dominate the phone market the way they did the MP3 player market.

It's not the same... it doesn't even come close. I have used both phones and the clone just sucks.

Most of them are probably made in the same Foxconn factory in BFE China, anyway.

You should care less about who makes the product, and more about the quality of the product. Who cares about who makes which product. All that matters is how well they made it. I don't care if my light bulbs are made by the same people that make my sofas, As long as they are both good, who cares. Also, I have never thought of it being "bad enough" to have an iPhone (I know there's incorrect grammar in there somewhere), that's just your opinion.

So, if the product is made by children working in sweatshops, all that matters is the quality of their work? I'm not saying that is how these phones are being produced, but how and by whom these products are made is still relevant and important knowledge.

And big companies are just as likely as small to employ unethical labor methods,

And, No, I won't buy one, because much like the iphone, it is a useless device designed for nothing more than flashiness and style. I'd much prefer have a cheaper cell phone and an MID (actually, netbook), rather than some kind of overpriced mesh that fails to perform any task as well as the individual devices it replaces.
