That could be interpeted that support is not needed because things like this usually just work, also why pay for support when in Linux(in Ubuntu) you get it free. Ubuntuforums.org is testament to that fact.

So, does this work in Linux? I've got another generic type 1.3mp webcam which does not. I'd love to top my lappy panel with that foot.

I haven't had any luck getting this webcam to work under Ubuntu (works fine under XP). I've seen quite a few threads on getting cheap webcams to work under Ubuntu, but none have provided me with a solution. At this point, I think the driver for this particular webcam doesn't yet exist.

lsusb gives me:
Bus 004 Device 004: ID 1c4f:3000
