Laptops press both at the same time.

Actually, you can do that with regular mice too, not only with laptops' pads.

use the mouse wheel.

+1

Usually the mouse wheel can be pressed and it is the 3rd button. It's the evolution of the mouse. They had 3 button mice before the mouse wheel was standard. Then they came out with the mouse wheel and killed 2 birds with 1 stone by making it pressable and into the 3rd button. Some mice have wheels that can even be pressed to the right and left for vertical and horizontal scrolling.

use the mouse wheel.

You mean click down on the mouse wheel, eh? "use" is a vague word. :lolflag:

Apply pressure to the wheel normal to the case of the mouse, that is, press the wheel into to case of the mouse body, taking care not to turn the wheel at the same time, until you hear a clicking noise or feel the clicking.

You are welcome. Please do not forget to post a report on the magnitude, direction and duration of the force(s) applied, if any, in order for our descendants unto the fourth generation to appreciate the complexity of the technology we used to have to put up with.

Also do not forget to mark your thread as 'solved' when you have successfully clicked the 3rd mouse button.
