so, i got my virtualboxup and running in gutsy and a couple of virtual machines already running along fine (a small portable XP and a bigger one on my externalHDD a gobuntu(seeing how it performs) a hardy heron testing machine and a random win98 one.)
i'm trying to make a gentoo one so i can muck about with it.
now, i have the i686 CD and live DVD but neither will boot up properly. the xserver is never configured right. is there a way around this? am i going to have to go through and do a text based install?
