View Full Version : Virtualbox says my CPU it to old, why?

hallo there I have installed a ubuntu server 7.10 i virtualbox on my laptop it has 2gb ram and a T5500 core 2 duo processor, but for some reason when i restarted the server after it was installed it sayed that the CPU was to old and thats it. after the post hvem it should be booting the os it just says that and nothing more :confused:

do any of you know what the problem might be?

I just tried it my self, and discovered that ubuntu server doesnt work in virtualbox due to virtualbox lacking some function.

Me too. after spending a while for installing 7.10 server on my virtual box, it says my cpu is too old and stop after reboot

then which server distribution of linux should i try on virtualbox?
