some dell and hp advertisement say: entry-level computer: * Everything you need for word processing, e-mail, and web browsing
* Engineered for performance and outstanding value ...........
if i need a computer which can do word -processing, e-mail and web browsing, my good old P1 box would get the job done. then why should i buy a new computer? those ''entry-level'' computer actually has a much higher specifications then my main box! oops, when i built my computer, P4 1.8G with 512 MB ram was the ''Cutting-edge processing machine'' at that time. there are always something called ''entry-level'', ''high performance'', or ''cutting-edge technology''... but now the cheapest celeron would even run better than my P4

New hardware in the market gets faster and cheaper with time so it's best to describe the products in relativity to each other.
