I quit Facebook a while ago now (when it gets to be popular, I quit, cause then stupid people inevitably find it), but I am wondering about people's opinions on this:

A Facebook & Microsoft Deal (http://www.builderau.com.au/news/soa/Microsoft-seals-Facebook-deal-with-US-240m-stake/0,339028227,339283238,00.htm) worth US$240m to Facebook, which grants Microsoft exclusive third-party advertising on the site.

I had edited and fixed the link after Rav's first post, but thank you to both of you.

I don't like the deal, even though it won't affect me as I don't use facebook but the developers really seem to have stopped caring. What with all the different widgets and "apps" they have rolled out, it's getting to be just as spammy as myspace.

Maybe this will turn some Ubuntu facebook users onto Ubuntero.org :D

on topic: i don't use nor care about faceobook, but this isn't surprising in the least. good chunk of change for the person(s) responsible for creating it though.
