Let me know what you think.

I created the image, and I think the red works well inside the Ubuntu symbol. If someone wants to change it to blue, then that can work.

I'd like to propose the symbol as the official symbol for the TN Team, and would like to have different pictures of Tennessee representing the team.

A second, and I think this is better, with a better TN Team Icon.

This is of the state Capitol

Both are available from gnome-look.org

That looks like the Natchez Trace Parkway. Those would make good Desktop BGs, however, I need them bigger than that. I need at least 1024x768 pixel images...

I have no images outside Nashville, but I would like others to donate them.

Scenes that I think would be good:

1. Graceland.
2. Smokys
3. Bristol Motor Speedway
4. Scenes from Gatlinburg
5. Natchez Trace Parkway Bridge (I might be able to get pics of that)
6. Neyland Stadium
7. LP Field
8. Other scenes recognizable to Tennesseans.

So long as you abide by the gpl license you could use some images from wikipedia / mediawiki.

many images can be found Here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Images_of_Tennessee)

Yes, they're very pretty, but how about a little pariticpation here?

I'm no longer a part of the group per se, just thought I'd toss in what I knew.

I am new on the forums, been using ubuntu since 7.04
anyhow I am up in the Maryville area & live in Cleveland, TN Maybe I can get some stuff from the areas here.
one spot jumps to mind, the 1996 Olympics was hosted in Atlanta but the whitewater events were on the ocoee river near Cleveland,TN
they made trails & bridges put up flag poles with all of the flags on them. the U.S forest service still maintains the area as a park.
I was six & lived up north so I don't know how much changed but the bridge hasn't changed much I am told.

Would you like them as jpeg or tiff file.

If you're still in need I can have Memphis covered I know a few hidden gems that make great photography locations for anywhere but definitely show a side of Memphis that doesn't get seen(the good side).

I have Family Up there. I thought of getting some from Look Rock, but no Camera (not counting the webcams) I would like to see them. If I get a good camera, I'll head out to Ocoee River & the riverfront in Chattanooga.
