Does anyone know Ubuntu's rationale for naming their latest release "Hoary Hedgehog"? Because surely it was not to make me giggle.

Hedgehog because it follows the mammal-that-walks-close-to-the-ground theme (also warthog, badger).

Hoary for alliteration.

I'll admit not being that fond of the name 'Hoary Hedgehog', but 'Breezy Badger' is actually kinda' cool...

Lets just rationalize this for a second:
'Badger' - The next best thing to a rabid wolverine you're every going to mess with.

'Breezy' - it's either extremely fast or breaks wind more frequently then I'd care to imagine. \\:D/
