impressed with Gutsy

I just wanted to say how impressed I am with Gutsy.

I upgraded my Athlon 3200 / 6600GT box; and did a fresh install on my core duo / 7400go laptop.

Both machines are working with hardly a hitch: just the usual DVD messing on the fresh install; and a small update to xorg.conf for the special effects on the desktop box.

Everything works solidly. And the effects look really nice!

The forums remain a brilliant resource...

Thanks to all those involved in making it this good. It is the best release yet.

I would have to agree whole hardly. I was extremely impressed at how smooth the install went. I did not have to edit any files or add anything extra to get my computer up and running. In past versions it was a pain getting my wireless to work, But gusty had no problems tackling any issues I had. I give it a definite 10 out of 10. Bravo Ubuntu. Keep up the good work.

i am excited to upgrade....did anyone upgrade through the update manager? I always have just reformatted due to all the weird drivers I use, but after this one maybe it wont be nessecary since compiz, wireless, and my ATI card are supported.....hopefully i can get SDL running on QMU
