Prefs mouse just give you simple mouse stuff, Application>Other>mouse is now the icons for the mouse.

I've got the Other menu too but I think it's a bug. It looks like they're all KDE Pref Panes so they shouldn't really be showing up unless I'm in KDE.

I think gutsy is going to be a big hit. Sorry to rain on your parade but I think to many of us are having difficulties with Gutsy for it to be a hit anytime soon. It just doesn't behave in the same way Feisty does, it is tempremental and makes a simple ndis driver install a real chore, and there are other issues to. It would be nice if the old stuff worked properly in Gutsy before all the *new* stuff got everyones eyes glazed over.

what old stuff did not work? Did you file a bug report on that stuff?

And where do many of "us" have difficulties with Gutsy? What are those?

Moved to CC since it was not a support request.

After trying out a few of these menu items they do indeed seem to be a lot of kde stuff so is this a bug?

I should have phrased my title better I think, my bad.

I installed amarok and after doing that that menu appeared.
for me it has
CGI scripts
input actions
keyboard
keyboard layout

Clicking on them brings up KDE control module.
I use normal ubuntu

I did finally get gutsy working on my computer but it took about 3 days to just run the OS. 3 DAYS!!!!!! Now Im sure one of you guys could get it done sooner but a super noob or someone comepletely new to ubuntu would have given up. Fortunately once i got it working I realized that the OS is super kick *** and will be great one they fixed the bugs. It has ALOT of features and I can't wait for Hardy.

My "Other" menu is full of KDE garbage.
