Not terribly much:
i386 alternate - 344.4 MB
i386 desktop - 338.5 MB

I thought it would be more by now. I'm going to blame Comcast for my poor uploads just for the fun of it.

Seeded ~50mb so far, but will seed overnight, every night until Hardy.

I did spend most of my day either installing Gutsy, helping out on IRC or setting up my mini torrent mirror for the poor folk that could even get on ubuntu.com

Only about 200 mb, I can only upload at about 40-60 kbp/s. This is due to me being constantly throttled because I have Comcast and I need to use encryption. I downloaded the iso at about 500-900 kbp/s though.

I didn't look to see how much, but I gave it 10mbps on one of my windows servers at work. You have to love the irony =)

I seeded around 1.5 GB. I stopped because it was slowing down my connection, and my brother's laptop needed all the speed it could get while upgrading (so far so good).

I left deluge seeding the Xubuntu 32bit desktop iso this morning with a limit of 5x. So it should be over 2 Gig by now (3pm).

None.

Of course, I forgot to grab the torrent before I left home today, so I've not downloaded it yet either... :P

I'll have to do that once I get home tomorrow morning. I'm looking forward to seeing how it looks on my laptop.

i didn't seed for very long
but comcast was restricting my upload speed so i don't think i was making much of a difference anyway
if i was uploading at a better speed i would have kept seeding

Well, after the release every seeder makes a difference :)

Even if you seed only at 1kbyte/s... if a leecher gets 100 of those he'll have a decent download speed.

My ratio was up to about 4.8 when I left it this morning. Was going to let it get up to at least 10.

Download was blisteringly quick though, 1.5MiB/s! Torrent is definitely the way to get your CD quickly.

seeded properly for the first time last night, managed 800mb on my awful Virgin connection, quite happy :D

Im at about 20gb so far, I plan to seed about 500gb over a 100mbit line. I could do 1tb but it depends how much bandwidth I have left over the next few days,

October 19th, 2007, 12:25 PM
i seeded 20 copies. i was only planning on 5 but i felt generous and didn't need to use the internet as soon as i thought. i'm not going to be seeding more though, i need the bandwidth now.

I will seed it until my internet bleeds :P I got no limit but I cant seed over 30Kb/s due to crappy ISP not selling higher than 1Mbit connections :(

I had to stop after about 50GB as my seedbox is mainly for other projects, but I did see some good up speeds early on;

Seed till it bleeds...hmm that sounds familiar TidusBlade lol

.5, started at 2 A.M downloading it alone, by 4 A.M it was ready to seed, so 5 hours time at 30KB/s up.

Mainly seeding Gutsy i386 Alternate.

hapily did my share and below is what i did, according to my little and verry reliable poll below i have to conclude that it is Xubuntu that will take over the world and not Ubuntu ;)

when you take in consideration that the only advantage of Xubuntu-alternate is that you can do a LTSP install i would have to conclude that we will end up with at least 20x more Xubuntu users then Ubuntu users and if i have to believe the stunning Sales reports from Dell that give Ubuntu a 2% market share by the end of 2007 Xubuntu would thus end op with 40% of the total Desktop market

please correct me if i'm wrong

Xubuntu-alternate 7428MB
Xubuntu-desktop 6282MB
Ubuntu-desktop 4653MB
Ubuntu-server 660MB

Call me greedy. But I only seeded 1 copy of gutsy. I guess it's fair that I downloaded once and uploaded once. :P

hyper_ch
October 22nd, 2007, 11:00 AM
why is that fair?

Wow, I have a download (an so presumably upload) limit of 40GB, theres no way im doing that much!! (did a few hundred megs though)

Samhain13
October 22nd, 2007, 12:02 PM
I was able to seed around 1.5GB. :D

AndyCooll
October 22nd, 2007, 01:27 PM
why is that fair?

It's fair because they've seeded one-to-one and that has always been considered an acceptable minimum.

As for myself, I'll probably seed (on and off) until the next release. Recently started seeding Gutsy Desktop, Gutsy Alternate and Gutsy Gobuntu.

im still seeding have been since release day, but only at a max on 10kbs up, because my connection is shared between my sisters computers, and they will complain if they notice any thing being slow

I seeded until I was done downloading my other torrents, which wasn't really long after ubuntu torrent was done. My stupid ISP only lets me download 20gb and upload 10gb per month =\ if it was unlimited I'd seed it for a whole month. Costs about 80 dollars a month for unlimited bandwidth, this sucks :(

hyper_ch

Lightstar:

And what do you do the second day of the month when you used up your limit?

Poor guy ;(
