Very last minute. Sorry sorry! I will be at the Fox and Hound in the North Hills of Pittsburgh on Friday, 19th of October at say 7PM. Here is a map of the location: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&time=&date=&ttype=&q=Fox+and+Hound+Pittsburgh. This isn't a formal occasion, the pub has no clue we are coming. If more people want to go somewhere else, awesome, I'll be there.

(anyone in the area, we'll most likely be at John Harvard's around 8. if you're there, you might see me! i think i'll be the only one in the brewery with dreadlocks, so...)

Tim, the location sounds good. I was originally planning on something for next weekend, as I will be going up to Erie on Sat. morning for the ErieLUG install fest, but I am game for Friday evening.
I will have the new aluminum Ubuntu case badges available for 50 cents each, and will also have burned Gutsy CDs available. I also have Feisty CDs from Canonical if anyone still wants those.
Anyone who is interested in coming please reply here so we can get a rough idea of how many will attend.
To get everyone motivated, I will give the first 10 people who show up a free case badge! :)

I won't be able to attend -- unfortunately, 1.5 days notice isn't enough for my stupid busy schedule.
Hope you everybody has a good time

Not a biggie. It sounds like we are working on a truly organized event a bit down the road with decent lead-time on the event.
I really want to emphasize this was very off-the-cuff and not expected to be more than a "Hello, nice to meetcha. Have a beer" kind of event.

We have a reservation for 7:00pm. Ask for James.

Awesome time. It was just James, my roommate and myself. Even though, it was a good time. Sorry if you had problems finding us. The staff wasn't worried about remembering Ubuntu or James as the "keyword."
Hey, it's 1 person more than I expected to show up on such short notice. Thanks for hanging out, jtaji, and thanks for the case tags. Good luck with the trip to Erie.

Nice job!
I remember our first Philly area meeting. It was me, Kevin, Alex and Ben; so you guys are off to a good start. Ben mysteriously left in the middle of the meeting (you never really know what those security types are up to).
No one said it was going to be easy, just make sure it is always FUN.
It's real nice to have something started in the Pittsburgh Area.
And check out WISPPA in Lilly; it's about an hour and a half away but it may be a nice venue for events and community outreach.
