Filesharing Laws

A very prominent German talk show (Stern TV) just showed a program on file sharing laws.

Some interesting things I did not know:

It is legal, to make copies of music you own and to share this with your friends and relatives because this is under the realm of personal privacy. It is also legal to record music from online radio stations.

That may be legal in Germany, but in the US, fair use is being curtailed on a daily basis and is well on its way to making the simplest of sharing illegal.
