Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon Day - WFU

We'll be downloading the new release of Ubuntu early Thursday and start burning and testing CDs. Later Thursday we will head to the PLUG meeting at Carswell Hall, Room 102, 7:00 pm on the Wake Forest University campus in Winston Salem. Hugh Lawson will be demonstrating burning cd's with Linux command line tools.

Hi tarvid,

Nice to see you again at the meeting last night. Good meeting despite Hugh's and my problems getting laptops to display on the projector system. I'm still chuckling over the missing ~/iso/* files.

I did a Nautilus copy/burn which failed to produce a bootable alt cd. I should have "dd'd" the image to my hd.

Interesting ideas on immigration as well.
