how do i reset my IP address??? i have my modem connected and my ISP(cox) had told me that i have connection but i can't serve it until i change my IP address....i'm using linux ubuntu and i don't have a router connected with it...

1. Do you have static or DHCP ip?
2. If DHCP: go there (http://www.knoppix.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=103077)
3. First you have to install pump:

sudo apt-get install pump
