This is just a fun thread to share and discuss your favorite userbars...(please do not enter into discussion about why we can't use them here, respect the admins decision and have fun)

I found this one that I like, nice and simple but I would have to customize it to say Xubuntu and e17 user of course:

Now Rav, just because I touched up your scarab avatar does not mean I'll make a custom userbar.

Oh, OK, just this once.

that's neat. a static one shouldn't be a big deal around here, but i can understand why they don' t want animated ones. animated avatars are bad enough.

Here's a banner I made a while ago (before I started using Linux). It's not really accurate as of now, as I no longer use Winamp (I'm an Amarok fan now :)) I'll probably get around to making a new set when my HSC exams have finished in about 3 weeks. When I make a new set, I'll probably try for an animated one. Anyway, here it is:

I know that pic isn't part of your signature, RAV, but do you have a script put that image on every post, or do you do it?

I simply just click the middle scroll wheel button on my mouse... ;)

I know that, technically, you are not violating the forum's code of conduct by manually including that graphic with every post, but you are violating the spirit of it. (and encouraging others to do the same) Perhaps you should stop? ;)

Actually the spirit has not been violated in any sort of imagined way. ;)

If your posts weren't annoying enough already now they have flashing images. Sorry to be harsh but it is the truth. And why does every post's title have this image??? http://ubuntuforums.org/images/icons/icon11.gif

What has that got to do with anything I said.

Be respectful of all users at all times. This means please use etiquette and politeness. Treat people with kindness and gentleness. If you do this the rest of the code of conduct won't need more than a cursory mention.http://ubuntuforums.org/index.php?page=policySome basic human courtesy from you would be nice and if you need to say something to me, PM me directly.

Maybe you need to have a look at the so called etiquette you are talking about yourself and stop posting flashy graphics on each post.

I love this smiley http://ubuntuforums.org/images/icons/icon11.gif
I even had a larger version as my avatar once. I think I'll go back to that one when Halloween is over.

By the way, not mine. I found on the web

I don't think there is one. I had to copy the image location and add IMG tags to it.;)

I guess this means my plans for a Flashy Graphics online business are now dead in the water.:( <deleted> animated gif of Atlas shrugging </d>

I shall now go back to hawking my hand hewn animated gifs door to door and doing my weekly avatar store at the local boot sale. Hey, its a living.

BTW, I really liked this one:
