Memory 2048MB 533MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [2x1024]
Video Card N-Series - Intel® Media Accelerator 950 Graphics Up to 256MB shared graphics memory
Hard Drive 60GB (5400rpm) SATA Hard Drive
Optical Devices Fixed Internal 8x DVD/24x CDRW Combo Drive for N-Series
Sound Cards No Sound Blaster®Audigy® Audio Software Option
Wireless Networking Intel® Pro Wireless 3945 802.11a/b/g Mini-PCI Card (for Dual Core Processor)

there's nothing wrong with Dell hardware although customer service needs some help. my employer is a top 25 forbes company and we use Dell exclusively. 7 years in, the laptops (varying models throughout the years) have been very reliable.
