Hi,
Basically what I want to be able to do is backup files to dvd daily (using multisession) on a remote server and only email myself and A N Other when the room left on the DVD falls below a set amount so that A N Other can change the DVD. I've calculated that the backups will be approx 200mb in size which will give me about 21 days/DVD.
So, can I write 21 sessions to a DVD? How can I work out how much space is left? How can a script tell if it needs to use growisofs -Z or growisofs -M on the new/current DVD?
