the Linux solitaires haven't worked out...to be honest I like Windows's Spider Solitaire

An occasional game of solitaire is one of the few reasons I ever log into Windows Vista. The solitaire that comes with gnome-games on Linux (Klondike) doesn't cut it for me aesthetically.

the Linux solitaires haven't worked out...to be honest I like Windows's Spider Solitaire

spider solitaire is available either way, in AisleRiot just go to "game" then to "select game" and scroll down to spider, after that go to "spider" to adjust how many suits you have
in patience go to settings then to game type and select spider.

as for me I perfer aisleriot, and my favorite game is lady jane

Pysol, either of the Hex deck games. Of course, the Hex Klondike clone I learned to beat 100% of the time, and through virtually unlimited undos I could beat the other game, but still... it inflated my ego that I could beat them all the time...
