Anyone know if there are any cell phone units coming to the US that will have Linux software for synching your phone's contact addresses as well as other more frivolous stuff such as importing images onto the phone, ring tones , etc?

That would really be nice.

This (http://www.openmoko.com/index.html) is the one I want. Still in development, but you can buy the developer's version (whether it does anything is another question).

The Razr 2 uses Linux, though I don't know anything else about it.

The software is for Linux/Linux compatible or the actual OS of the phone is Linux?

That looks pretty neat and it seems to have a QWERTY keyboard of some kind (touch?). Is there even an ETA on when this will be on the market?

Have you looked at Bitpim? Doesn't that do what you want (if your phone works with it)

I have only heard of Gammu/Wammu but never Bitpim. My current phone is a Nokia 9300. Is Bitpim okay with Nokias? If so, do you have a URL for that.
