Driving up to the Grand Tetons (http://www.nps.gov/grte/) this summer in Wyoming from Boulder, my wife & I got caught up in a major traffic jam due to major construction on the Togwotee trail (http://www.gotogwoteetrail.com/).
As we were sitting in the car and enjoying the scenery and music a Wyoming Cowboy walked up with his female sidekick and they greeted us and gave us a CD.
We popped the CD into the player and it was awesome, the state of Wyoming had made CD's to give to people caught in traffic. It was so enjoyable time passed so quickly and before we could finish the CD we were out of the construction area.
They had a lot of local artist spotlighted, and the cowboy who gave us the CD was narrating with other people.
It was interesting to hear the unique form of English dialect from the Cowboys in Wyoming.
One expression that stuck in my mind was "Skeeter Skoot" which is the word for Mosquito repellent.
The Grand Tetons are absolutely wonderful and something everybody should see in their lifetime. The Towgotee Trail area is an absolute gem.
A few questions for discussions:
What kind of Skeeter Skoot do you use? do you have a home remedy?
What did you do this Summer?
Have you been to the Grand Tetons & the Towgotee Trail?
