Hi guys,
I just want to see what some of you think about installing this driver?

I'm a complete noob to the linux arena and still learning about the history of the GNU movement. Anyway I really like the whole attitude towards open source software and the freedom it gives.

So what benefits are there to installing this and is it worth it?

What do you guys think, open soruce all the way or room for negotiation?

Do you want to play 3D games or have you got performance issues with the nv driver?

The merits of closed source:

I'm not having any particular issues with what I have installed as default. I'd just seen the a few of the features which you get with the driver enabled and thought they looked pretty cool. Particularly the ability to drag windows across multiple workspaces.

I'll checkout the link, thanks....
