I was just looking at the most users ever on Ubuntuforums, and I saw that the most users ever was on May 5th 2007, at 9,500 users. I understand Feisty was released in late April, so I assume this was the reason?

I've been wondering about it too.
I didn't notice anything.

But statistics indicate that a new record is coming soon.
Especially with 7.10 "Gutsy Gibbon" almost ready.
