There's a lot of good music oh Jamendo that I'd like to get on my mp3 player... but no one is torrenting it. Do ya'll know of a way to get it from Jamendo in some weird super ninja way?

Well, it's not stealing if Jamendo is using bittorrent to distribute the music. Perhaps there are not enough seeders for bittorrent to be effective for this site.

This is not rocket science, ninja, or super ninja:

Take the Listen Link and paste it in the command line:

This is the contents for jamendo-playlist.m3u (m3u files are playlist files):

#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:209,75 Clan : Money - Money
http://stream5-6.jamendo.com/7371/ogg2/01%20-%2075%20Clan%20-%20Money.ogg

Perhaps:

>wget http://stream5-6.jamendo.com/7371/ogg2/01%20-%2075%20Clan%20-%20Money.ogg

OK, I'll bite, because I'm only a little confused.

How/where did you find the playlist to extract the streaming link from?

To get a playlist file, click on the small speaker icon and it will open a jamendo music player with a list of tracks. At the bottom of the player is a link: export to: Podcast or m3u. Choose m3u and you will get a small download jamendo-playlist.m3u

Open the m3u file and it looks like:

#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:312,DJ Mark Hollinger : The Evolution is a Lie (album) - HeavAnthem (extended club version)
http://stream3-4.jamendo.com/3797/mp31/03%20-%20HeavAnthem%20extended%20club%20version.mp3

>wget (highlite and paste the link with the middle mouse button)

Now, there are probably easier ways to do this, but I'll leave others to figure it out.

Been trying to figure out a way to listen to non-mainstream free music, and download said music, which is how I happened upon this thread.

I'm not sure if it would work for individual tracks, but I know that there is a plug-in for jamendo in Rhythmbox. When you listen to the songs you can download that album, haven't tried it yet, and it might be overkill, but a possibility perhaps?

Ok, I officially hate Jamendo.

I clicked the album that had the following cover but it was a TRAP.
http://img.jamendo.com/albums/1289/covers/1.200.jpg

The singer is a guy with a weird voice, not some hot chick.

Hahaha!!! Oh that's great.

Imagine how disappointed people would be if they expected cover art to reflect the sound of the artist. Nirvana - Nevermind, why doesn't he sound like a baby underwater?!?!
