I really liked the analogy about gumbo and picking out the shrimp!
I mean, it's not an easy idea to describe to people who aren't used to being able to choose between such vastly different experiences and goals striven for by the varying Linux distros. Even with Ubuntu you have four main derivatives and trying another is just an apt-get install ?ubuntu-desktop away....

Cool coverage, and I dare say almost even-handed, which is a pleasant surprise. I'm not particularly fond of the short-vowel pronunciation of Ubuntu, but I'll take what I can get.

Good to see some good coverage of ubuntu.. I have to say.. They almost seemed to be putting down vista.. But then.. Most do.
