View Full Version : Starting shell scripts automatically

Hi.
Although I would no longer consider myself an absolute linux newbie, I am still relatively 'green' with shell scripts.
I have a small server running xubuntu 7.04, which I want to back up to a usb harddisk.
I would like to be able to plug in the HD, and have a script start up automatically, which backs up the user files via rsync.
Any hints, tips or guides greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Joffx.

Ok thanks.
I did search for the topic before posting, but can't have been specific enough.
