http://www.softwareinreview.com/cms/content/view/78 This guy is running a legitimate web magazine and, expects to be taken seriously, but in his review of Ubuntu offers no other reason for not wanting to use Ubuntu except that he doesn't want the "stigma" thats attached to a Ubuntu user. I remember reading a thread about the dumbest reasons ever for not making the switch, and thought this was a front runner, especially coming from someone thats supposed to be objective.

Hearing about people like this dissapoints me. I could never regret using Ubuntu to get started in linux. Ubuntu is an excellent project, one of the few Linux Distros that is able to keep itself current, stable, and polished all at the same time.

Delays and timeouts are a regular part of the package installation process in Ubuntu. This is a problem for a lot of GNU/Linux distributions, some of which have successfully solved it with commercial mirror access. I think most serious Ubuntu users would pay a small fee for better servers.
I don't think this is anywhere near true. It only timed out once on me and it was immediately after Feisty was released due to everyone upgrading. I've never had it happen since then.

One problem I have always had with Ubuntu is that there aren't any decent fonts installed by defaultI don't understand this. I have no problem with the default fonts. I've never installed the msstcorefonts.

Eliminate the Ubuntu stigma.
Windows or OS X can also be associated with the term "fanboy" I seriously have no clue where he got that paragraph from.:lolflag:

Ahh, I see the old Linux elitist attitude is alive and well in other realms of the Linux world.
