Back in the summer of 2006, the new menu of the Suse Linux enterprise desktop created quite some fuzz here in the forums as you can see here (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=208131&highlight=slab). There was even an own ubuntu version of it you can find here (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=215970).

There was even talk to include it as default menu for Gnome 2.18. But what happened to all that? After the first hype calmed down it seemed that all these projects got abandoned . I kinda liked the concept and wonder what happened to it. Or am I just overlooking the current active development and its community?
