'google' Ubuntu?

I have been out of the loop for a while now, and I ran across these articles from late last year and early this year. It was something about Google working with Ubuntu to release their own OS?

Was this a hoax? A Plan that died? Or just the usual garbage you hear on the internet?

It was just a Hoax. No Goobuntu ever exist. There's even a wikipedia article about it. :P :lolflag:

its just a slightly modified version of Ubuntu and i doubt they would ever release it to the public
