If anyone remembers I posted a thread awhile ago on how to get Mac OS X in the most cost effective manner possible, well now I have Mac OS X and was quite annoyed to find that when I was attempting to install, the installer would not recognise my hdd in my Mac G4 cube (it has a 20gb hdd that came with the machine forever ago) I am assuming this has to do with the ext3 format from ubuntu, how am I to solve this?

1.)I have no idea what the mac format is called
2.)how do I re-format my drive to that format?

Hi,

The format OS X uses is called HFS+. You can reformat your HD by booting up with your OS X disc. Here's a guide for you. Use the guide to navigate to Disk Utility, then use the "erase" function to reformat your HDD in HFS+.

Hope it helps,
