View Full Version : JeOS availability or local demo?

I'm working on setting up a webapp deployment scheme for a client, and am really interested in virtualization for a purpose-built system.

Some variant of slimmed-down ubuntu-desktop or gui-fied ubuntu-server seem to be where I'll end up, so the timing of the Ubuntu JeOS release announcement was terrific.

Unfortunately, the news article talks about making it available only to ISVs (not such a great plan for a startup with limited funds). Does anybody have any news about the availability of this ubuntu variant? Does anybody have connections to be able to get a demo or something along those lines?

Thanks in advance.

Finishing up on this thread, it sure looks like ubuntu's JeOS flavor is usable by just about anybody.

Hoo-ray.

Here's the goods, for those ISV types out there.
