Artist: Menomena (http://www.menomena.com/)
Song: Evil Bee
I took a walk with an invisible friend
And on that walk, I gave my hand

O, to be a machine
O, to be wanted
to be useful

With this ring that I wear today
My whole world is your property

O, to be a machine
O, to be wanted
to be useful

I took a walk with an invisible friend
And on that walk, I gave my hand
cool group from Portland, Oregon USA

Whacky I know.

Friend and foe shines Northwest indie songcraft through a Chicago post-rock lens, illuminating the quiet recesses with an unpredictable, experimental light. See what others have had to say about this phenomenal album:
"Beautiful and ominous" (The Absolute Sound)
"Equal parts free jazz, Talk Talk, and XTC" (Magnet)
"This just might be what we've waited for." (Filter)

True! My friend's band played with them not long ago (I just like to say, "my friend's band"). They were grrrrrreat!. Who knew they were getting attention outside our fair city?

My wife is from Portland!,...I lived there for years and consider it my home town...I miss the weather and snow covered Mt. Hood! I miss the lush green of all the trees and the roses that grow like weeds. I miss the rain and the great music.

I can see why Linus chooses to live there(he lives in Beavertown in metropolitan Portland).

Oh, you should come back it's awsome here. I knew Linus was here, but I didn't realize he was in The Tron (Beaverton). Can't say I'm interested in living out that way myself.

I consider this my home now too. I've been here since '98 or so and fell in love the first time I visited. Now I've got a family and planted real roots.

It's true about the roses. In fact, it's fertile enough here that everything grows like weeds. Even weed(s)! ;)

I hope wherever you're at now is treating you right. If you ever end up back in this area, let me know and we can hit Free Geek together. :)

Both my wifes parents and family and my parents and family live in Portland, so I will eventually return.

My next move will hopefully be to Boulder, Colorado first though.

I historically moved to Portland, Oregon directly from Juneau, Alaska, where I lived for about a year.
