i need to get information from distrowatch or any other site about linux development and compare it to windows....

i need to get

timeline

(linux ...bsd..and others)
dos
windows(xp,vista, 2000)

main distro brach

Red Hat branches ....like fedora....need about 5

debian branches...= ubuntu, Sidux....

Slackware --

Gentoo

*any other few more*


Top companies use
like
Novell
Red Hat
*ubuntu*
*any others....

Sytemsupports
(for top distro)

ubuntu (launchpad,ubuntuforums)

I am not sure exactly what you need.

Googling "Windows Timeline", "Red Hat Timeline", and such will get you good results.

Also, using Wikipedia for each distro you want to look at, will give you links to derivatives.

no it is not my homework either....actually my lecturer just suggest to do anything to practice my learning process....i just asking the link for data..not asking anybody to do oracle database for me...(if i expect everybody know how to use oracle ).....

yea..google is our friends....thanks....i did it either ...but ofcouse to much result make me kind of blur...that why i ask if anybody cross any interesting website then please point it in...but then...thanks for those links....
