I pretty much have a new job (as in - I probably have it). It's a part-time internship and the pay is decent, which is perfect for me (not quite finished high school). The job will basically involve working with Linux servers. If my boss needs me to slap together a "new" one from spare parts, for example. What makes this job so great is the fact that I'll be able to learn as I go along. This is good because I know very little about servers. I'd like to read up a bit before I start. The first thing I want is some beginners reading on servers in general. Even though I'll probably already know everything, I want to be sure. The second thing I want is much more specific. I would like some reading and guides (gonna play around with setting this up in a virtual machine) on MySQL, active directory, and basically just getting the thing networked with the rest. Again, I'd prefer something easy to read. You might be thinking I'm under qualified for this, and I did at first as well. But the atmosphere is very informal and I can learn as I go along (even if it takes an hour of reading on the internet), so it's a great learning experience for me. All help is appreciated. :)
