1. my eyes are open
2. I don't see a jpg on this thread
3. your post does not reflect the Ubuntu spirit as it is rude and demeaning

EDIT: I took a look from a different computer and saw your desktop. Looks nice. The comments above would still stand, though. Thanks to jsimmons for giving me a clue. O:)

nice man but its a bit brighter than what i usually work on. I guess since my first pc was 2-tone green and black I have stuck to slightly darker things. lol.

For your information, I don't see it either. Our IT department blocks personal pages and most image hosting pages, and whatever you used is one of them.

If you're going to post images, use a real website to put them on.

No offense but this is IMHO almost as ugly/cluttered as KDE... [-X

I fail to see why you quoted me; what has that got to do with this thread?

he's trying to point out that the pot has called the kettle black--your "fixing Windows" matches nicely to his preferred environment, so he finds it rich that you should criticize his desktop aesthetic.

Another "eye opener" for ya:

There is an Art Gallery on this forum designed specifically for the purpose of posting screenshots like this, as well as wallpapers and other graphics. Just click on the "Art Gallery" tab at the top of the forum page.

Hey-- Might as well put it somewhere it can easily be compared to other desktops, no? A desktop as clean as yours should stand out nicely there (I, for one, love a crisp, clean desktop).

:D

???

My "fixing Windows"??? I never said anything about windows, newbie2 did.

...

What do you mean?
So windows matches KDE? or what are you saying?

"so he finds it rich" what do you mean find "rich"

i did not mean to offence somebody...all i wanted to point out was that anyone can make the look of a desktop to his / her needs as he/she pleases ;-) :)

No it doesn't, it looks way worse than KDE. Anyways, that's just my opinion.

Personally it isn't my ultimate desktop (I think everyone has their own style and hence their own ultimate desktop) but its nice.

How do you set it up so you get that middle click menu?

Looks like gdesklets to me... Am I right?

hmmm... I see it now, guess it wouldn't load before (there was no image placeholder either, so was a bit confused :P). Looks nice, but I wouldn't call it the ultimate.. just a slightly tweaked gnome. Now this (http://ubuntuforums.org/gallery/showimage.php?i=162&postid=916) is a sexy desktop.

Please use the art gallery to post screenshots and other art.

But it is pretty slick.
